CURRICULUM
Primary Years Programme (PYP)
The PYP is the beginning of a lifelong adventure. It prepares children aged 3 to 12 to be compassionate and culturally aware participants in their own learning. For students ages 3 to 12, the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) focuses on the development of the complete child as an inquirer, both in and beyond of the classroom. The PYP is transdisciplinary and adaptable enough to meet the demands of most national or local curricula, and it is the finest preparation for pupils to participate in the IB Middle Years Programme.
Middle Years Programme (MYP)
For students aged 11 to 16, the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) provides a learning framework that promotes students to become creative, critical, and introspective thinkers. The MYP places an emphasis on intellectual challenge, pushing students to find connections between their regular academic study and the actual world. The MYP is adaptable enough to meet the requirements of most national or local curricula. It builds on the PYP knowledge, abilities, and attitudes to prepare students for the academic demands of the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Career-related Programme.
Students grow in their own understanding, feeling of self, and sense of duty in their community.
MYP teachers plan the curriculum with particular focus to:
• Contextual teaching and learning.
• Conceptual comprehension. Concepts are broad concepts that apply to several disciplines and topic areas.
MYP students utilize concepts as a vehicle to investigate personal, local, and global concerns and ideas, as well as to assess information holistically.
